St. Vincent Centers in Kennewick is changing their location. The thrift store will be moving from their Morain Street location to 731 N. Columbia Center Blvd., suite 114. A Grand Opening on November 16 is planned from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Each year, thousands of individuals and families in need receive basic necessities like clothing, furniture, and housewares from St. Vincent Centers. The center also accepts donations of gently-used clothing, furniture, and household items. Pick-ups are available by appointment.
Donated items are displayed in the thrift store, some are sold to help fund assistance programs, and others are given free of charge to families in need.
Since 1946, before Catholic Charities Serving Central Washington was founded, St. Vincent Centers followed the philosophy and mission of bringing hope to life, especially for those most in need. Catholic Charities provides assistance to thousands of families each year through our St. Vincent Centers thrift stores, emergency services programs, the food bank in Union Gap, and food voucher program in Kennewick. We offer crisis relief to those facing hardship by providing clothing, household items, and food.
Crisis relief is just the first step toward a long-term solution, so Catholic Charities has partnered with related agencies that have programs to address the underlying causes of crisis situations. This holistic approach helps those who are suffering hardship take important next steps, which helps them on their journey toward stability.
Anyone can help us serve those in need by donating food as well as gently-used household items and clothing and by shopping at a St. Vincent store. Donations and customers provide more resources to help more families in need in our communities.
