Coaching and Professional Development
Catholic Charities provides in-home and virtual early learning coaching services including:
- Helping to build family partnerships to support children's development, family well-being, and positive parent-child interactions
- Providing screening tools to identify developmental challenges
- Sharing an understanding of age-appropriate games, toys, and lessons
- Quarterly training opportunities in areas of child development, quality interactions and environment, equity, behavior challenges, social and emotional support
- Helping children become school-ready
- Improving the overall learning environment and curriculum
Early Childhood Mental Health Consultants assist childcare provider homes or licensed centers by:
- Strengthening and supporting the efforts of families and childcare providers to enhance optimal social and emotional development of children
- Addressing challenging behaviors and the impact of mental health challenges on children and families
Professional Development
Do you work with young children? Do you need to enhance your early learning skills and effectiveness when working with children?
Our team of state-approved trainers in Professional Development is experienced and equipped with teaching strategies, resources, and skills tailored to the needs of young children, teachers, and providers. We offer a wide range of continuing education for early learning professionals in licensed family childcare homes, centers, and other early childhood settings. Each training is uniquely developed with a full understanding of child growth and development while incorporating healthy play and exploration of the environment around them.
Our wide range of opportunities helps you achieve your goals and offers annual STARS hours through in-person, virtual, or customized training options to suit your needs best. Most training sessions are available in English or Spanish throughout the year.
