Residents Begin Moving into Wenatchee’s Saint Jude’s Landing

Catholic Charities Housing Services (CCHS) proudly opened the doors of Saint Jude's Landing (SJL), in Wenatchee, on January 13, 2020. SJL houses a diverse population of formerly homeless, disabled, and low-income households throughout its 67 units. Our Resident Services Coordinators are working alongside Property Management on-site, providing residents with items such as linens and microwaves at move-in. Each unit includes beds, dining tables, chairs, and a sofa.

The 71,846 square foot, four-story building is extremely energy efficient. Each floor has laundry facilities, common area restrooms on the first floor, maintenance storage, and a work-space. The sustainable landscape includes drought-tolerant plants and trees. Low-volume flush toilets, water-saving shower-heads, and faucets will minimize water usage. Strict specifications for cabinets and wear-resistant finishes will withstand heavy use by large families. Although some of these features increased initial development costs, they reduce ongoing maintenance costs, improve project life cycles, and ensure a sustainable community well into the future.

Catholic Charities Serving Central Washington will provide mental health case management for residents and Resident Services Coordination is provided by CCHS. The Housing Authority of Chelan County and the City of Wenatchee manage the property. CCHS shared development responsibilities with Beacon Development Group. St. Jude's Landing was designed by ZBA Architecture. The General Contractor was MC Lundgren.
