More About Our Volunteer Programs

Volunteer Services – Assist alongside seniors or those with disabilities that limit their mobility to help them stay in their homes. Volunteers can help with:

  • Transportation
  • Minor home repairs
  • Wheelchair ramps
  • Yard work
  • Food deliveries
  • Shopping
  • Light housekeeping and laundry
  • Snow shoveling
  • Painting

Senior Companions (AmeriCorps Seniors 55+) – Senior Companions spend time with other like-minded elders. They accompany clients to appointments, nutrition sites, social outings, and other essential errands. They help with grocery shopping and simple “light” household chores. They provide companionship, talk, listen, play games and assist with hobbies or shared interests.

Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP) in Tri-Cities (AmeriCorps Seniors 55+) – Volunteers are placed with other community service organizations such as Meals-on-Wheels or local hospitals. Supplemental insurance benefits while working may apply.
