Parents as Teachers
At Catholic Charities, we understand how important the relationship between you and your child is to their overall growth and well-being. Babies don’t come with instructions. That is why the Parents as Teachers program uses an evidence-based curriculum to enhance the bonding between you and your child, focusing on your role as your child’s first and best teacher, and encouraging development-centered parenting.
Parent educators visit your home twice a month to work with you one-on-one, while also conducting screenings and assessments. They bring books, tools, and activities that encourage interactions between you and your child, assess developmental milestones, and prepare your child for kindergarten.
